Bui brings over two decades of experience, 30+ testimonies, and global leadership in digital forensics to bolster Purpose Legal’s growing technology practice
[Dallas, TX] – [June 6, 2025] – Purpose Legal proudly announces the appointment of Jerry Bui as Senior Vice President of Digital Forensics. A recognized thought leader, keynote speaker, and testifying expert witness, Bui brings more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with complex, technology-driven investigations.
With a deep background in emerging data sources, cloud-based investigations, and digital forensics procedures, Bui has provided expert testimony over 30 times in civil matters. He has supported clients across highly-litigious industries—including pharmaceutical life sciences, medical devices, and big tech—navigating complex legal challenges involving government subpoenas, data spoliation, and trade secret theft.

Bui’s distinguished career includes leadership roles at PwC, FTI Consulting, EY, KPMG, Lighthouse, and Navigant. He previously founded Right Forensics, where he built the Digital Forensics Advisory Practice, using state-of-the-art methodologies to extract and preserve critical digital evidence.
Beyond his client work, Bui serves as an advisor to INTERPOL on its Metaverse and Synthetic Media Expert Groups and conducts pro bono training for anti-corruption officials in Lesotho, South Africa. He also contributes to public awareness efforts through AARP webinars that help protect consumers from deep-fake-related fraud.
In his new role, Bui will lead Purpose Legal’s digital forensics strategy and service delivery, supporting investigations from initial data analysis to expert courtroom testimony.
