Jerry Bui is a nationally recognized expert in digital forensics, computer forensics, and technology‑driven internal investigations, bringing more than two decades of experience supporting complex civil litigation and regulatory matters. A seasoned expert witness, Jerry has testified over 30 times on issues involving spoliation, cloud data, forensic methodologies, and the integrity of digital evidence.
Jerry advises clients across multiple industries, helping them navigate emerging data sources, cloud platforms, and eDiscovery workflows. He is frequently engaged to conduct in‑depth forensic examinations, analyze opposing experts’ methodologies, and guide organizations through high‑stakes government and internal investigations.
Jerry also contributes his expertise globally, serving as an advisor to INTERPOL’s Metaverse and Synthetic Media groups. He provides annual pro bono support in Lesotho to help build digital forensics capabilities for anti‑corruption authorities and regularly educates the public on deepfake and synthetic media risks.
Before joining Purpose Legal, Jerry held leadership roles at several global consulting firms and founded a digital forensics company focused on advanced evidence extraction, analysis, and preservation.
